照屋政雄 in 経堂うさぎ洞

11/28、照屋政雄さんのライヴを初体験。場所は小田急線経堂駅近くのアジア無国籍料理屋（？）うさぎ洞。店内には、照屋さんが父ちゃん役で出演した映画「ホテルハイビスカス」のポスターが何枚も貼られていた（来春公開予定？）。

ライブはお祭りの唄「とぅるるんてん」からスタート。え、これって照屋さんの歌だったんだ、と初っぱなから驚く。今までてっきり島唄ゆんたくトリオ「とぅるるんてん」の自作テーマ曲だと思っていた。一度聴けば忘れない楽しい曲。次の「チョンチョンキジムナー」は、いわば照屋さんの代表曲。早くもこの２曲でお客さんのつかみはオッケーか。ニコニコ愛きょうのある笑顔と軽妙トークが天性の芸人ぶりを感じさせる。

と、ここで東京者へのサービスなのか、「安里屋ゆんた」と「芭蕉布」を披露。「ウチナーグチのほうが得意なので、こういうヤマトグチに近い唄はヘタです。間違うかも知れません」とのこと。しかし照屋さんの「芭蕉布」はどうしてどうして、意外と（失礼？）しんみり聴かせてくれる。

そしていよいよお待ちかねの沖縄大衆演芸の世界に突入。「いちでいじ（一大事）がまよ」「あちゃ（明日）からよ」「むるわからん」と、コミカルかつファンキーな唄が次々と登場。バックの太鼓（仲本興次さん）、ピアノ、マンドリン、三板の４人組も、ますます調子が出てきて盛り上がる。お店はすっかりコザの民謡酒場状態へ。

曲の合間に「ホテルハイビスカス」の裏話も飛び出す。父ちゃん役のために髪を切ったがまだはえてこない話とか、口達者な主役の穂波ちゃんの話とか、こわくてやさしい中江監督の話とか。

「小浜節」「月ぬ美しゃ」と八重山の情け唄も聴くことができた。これがまた情感があっていい感じ。最後は、お客さん全員で「しーやーぷー　しーやーぷー」と振りをつけながらみるく節。おー、この歌を振り付きでやるのは寿以来かも。

というわけで満足満足。たしかに照屋さんはみいこの父ちゃん役にぴったりかも、とナットク。映画公開後ますます人気者になるに違いない。照屋さんのご長男が自主制作したというCD「うた遊び」を購入して帰る。
