拝郷メイコ in 渋谷BOXX（沖縄音楽情報のんかあDEEPS！）

拝郷メイコ in 渋谷BOXX

2/7、渋谷BOXXで「拝郷メイコワンマンライブ～メロディ」。拝郷（はいごう）さんは、私が2001年に出会ったなかで最も強烈なインパクトを感じたギター弾き語りのアーティスト（ん？昨日と同じ書き出し...）。今回は久しぶりのバンド編成のワンマンライブ。会場は思いっきり満員で、観るたびにファンがどんどん増えているのがわかる。それでも本人の実力からすれば、まだまだ全然少ないし知名度も低すぎると感じるのはひいき目か？

個人的に今回のベストは、弾き語りバージョンでやった「僕に降る雪」。昔のことを思い出して泣ける。同じく弾き語りでやった新曲「いいこ」も、ピュアではかなげで心にしみいる。そしてアンコールでマイクなしのナマ声で聴かせてくれた「メロディ」も鳥肌もの。やはり彼女の原点は弾き語りだ。

ちなみに、拝郷さんと沖縄とは何の関係もないかなと思っていたが、意外な接点が。じつは彼女は、デビュー前に石嶺聡子さんに詞を提供しているのだ（拝郷芽衣子名義）。「バイバイ」という曲で、石嶺さんのアルバム「Ballad Song Collection」に収録されている。拝郷さんのデビュー曲「トマトスープ」とモチーフが近く、あわせて聴くとまた感慨深いものが。

ところで今回、ライブの中盤で抽選会があったのだが、拝郷さんが読み上げた当選者３名のなかに自分の名前が！これは恥ずかしすぎる！おまえ、いったいナニモノ?!...みたいな。んで特典として、しっかりライブのあと拝郷さんと記念撮影してもらったのだった。も～、トシ考えろよな...自分。
