navy & ivory in 渋谷7th floor

4/4、この日は大塚利恵、拝郷メイコ、navy&ivoryと３本のライヴが重なってしまい、悩んだ末にレコ発ワンマンライヴということでnavy&ivoryを選択する。会場は前回と同じ渋谷7th floor。

１曲目の「Girlfriend」のあと、おなじみユニゾンでのご挨拶。「きょうは来ていただきありがとうございました！」。おー、今回はぴったり。よくできました（はなまる）。次は代表曲「指輪」。なんとこの歌を作るきっかけとなったご夫婦が会場にいらっしゃっているということでご紹介。以前、吾郷氏がバイトをしていた会社の上司とのこと。「まだ（仲は）大丈夫ですか？」と吾郷氏問題発言(笑)。

今回特に印象に残った曲が「流星群」。大半の曲では少年っぽい純な心の持ち主がモチーフなのだが、これはちょっとオトナな内容。愛することに疲れ、愛される安らぎに逃げたという、女性から見ればヒドイ男の歌なんだけど、なんか身につまされるんだよなあ。けっこうお気に入り。

ライブの中盤では吾郷氏のピアノ弾き語りソロも披露。その歌のあと、花束をもってステージに戻る下地氏。「ぼくへの花束？」と吾郷氏が聞くと、「いや、違います(笑)」。実は、同じ宮古島出身の友達が会場に来てて、その彼にたったいまもらったそうだ。高校卒業後、一緒に上京してきた友達の多くは宮古に帰ってしまい、まだ東京にいるのはほんの数人らしい。

そのほか「失恋当日」「アシタキミニアエルカラ」「最愛」など。作詞作曲が得意な吾郷氏と、表現力あるボーカルの下地氏、この二人のコンビネーションが今後も続く限り、まだまだ名曲が生まれそうで楽しみ。ただしMCでのギャグはまだ開発の余地ありか(笑)。きょうも常連客から鋭いダメ出しが！

なお、今回めでたく発売となったCD「アカイイト」はタワレコや新星堂がみつけやすいかも。ちなみに渋谷タワレコでは売り切れだった。
